Chemical Peels at Coco Med Spa: Rejuvenating Results for Every Skin Type

Thinking about whether or not you should get a chemical peel? You’re in the right place! We offer several chemical peels that we love incorporating into treatment plans when the need calls for them. Today we’ll discuss four different options we have for chemical peels in St. Pete at Coco Med Spa.

Cosmelan Peel

When it comes to Melasma, the Cosmelan Peel is our go-to! This two-part peel is the gold standard in peels for removing difficult hyperpigmentation. It’s considered to be one of the most effective melasma treatments on the market. The initial treatment is applied in the spa with follow-up products to finish the treatment at home. Clients can expect results as soon as two weeks with mild symptoms of dryness, itchiness, and some skin peeling during the healing process.

TCA Smart Peel

If you’re dealing with acne and pigmentation from previous acne, we tend to recommend the TCA Smart Peel from SkinCeuticals. While this peel is on the stronger side, we find it to give great results when it comes to texture and discoloration thanks to its combination of 15% Trichloroacetic Acid and 3% Glycolic Acid. Expect a little downtime and peeling with this particular chemical peel. The results will be worth it!

BioRePeel

If you’re looking to address concerns like sun damage, fine lines, or texture without downtime, the BioRePeel is likely the right peel for you. Although some forms of melasma or texture might be better suited to the peels mentioned above, BioRePeel is a newer peel that combines ingredients that combat the dryness and peeling that typically follow a chemical peel. This allows you to experience the benefits of a peel on a more convenient timeline, without having to plan in “recovery time” afterward.

Micropeels

For those just looking for a quick refresh or those who don’t have as many treatment concerns, a SkinCeuticals Micropeel can be included during your facial service for deeper exfoliation, rejuvenation, and an overall glow.

We commonly call the winter months “peel season” as people tend to stay indoors more often during the busy, and sometimes cooler, winter months. However, any season can be peel season if you’re a person who avoids the sun and heat or are willing to adjust your schedule accordingly and be diligent about sun protection. If you’re ready for your next chemical peel or to try one for the first time, contact us or book an appointment!
