Welcome back to another edition of Injection Misconceptions, our series where we answer popular questions about the injectable services we offer here at Coco Med Spa in St. Pete. Today we’re here to discuss Full Facial Balancing and why it works for most clients.
What is full facial balancing?
Full facial balancing is a holistic approach to facial filler that provides enhancement while focusing on preserving the integrity of an individual’s unique features. With this technique, it’s rare to focus on a singular area of the face without also addressing other supporting areas of the face to maintain harmony across the features.
Why is facial balancing a good choice for everyone?
Full facial balancing is a great option for those looking to have enhancements with filler because it’s a completely customizable service for every person, each time. At Coco Med Spa, facial balancing is never done simply for the sake of doing a treatment and it’s never done with the intent of giving everyone the same features. Here, we celebrate our unique differences and strive to help clients be the best version of THEMSELVES. If there are structural concerns, issues like volume loss, or other concerns that may increase the signs of aging, facial balancing is often suggested as the most natural method for looking and feeling your best.
What are some examples of facial balancing techniques?
To give some insight on what facial balancing truly means, we’ll share a few scenarios that we might come across when administering facial filler. Keep in mind however, that each treatment is tailored to the individual so what’s mentioned here may not apply across the board. Our expert injectors will consult with you to ensure that a treatment plan you’re comfortable with is developed to meet your specific needs and give results you’ll love.
If someone were to request filler in the nasal labial folds, upon further assessment we may find that cheek filler is a better choice for them if the shadow in the nasal labial folds is due to a loss of volume in the cheeks. In this case, we’re altering the placement to provide the desired result.
Alternatively, a service like tear trough filler may need to also include a bit of cheek filler if there is a loss of volume in the cheek area. The reasoning? If there’s not enough volume in the cheek area, adding volume under the eyes ONLY may actually cause the area to appear swollen and overfull. Making a small adjustment in an adjoining area will actually improve the results of your originally desired treatment.
Another great example of this is with chin filler and jawline filler. It’s very common that when you’re requesting treatment for one of those areas, the other needs a little bit of support to ensure facial harmony and the best, most natural-looking results.
As mentioned earlier, every facial balancing treatment is unique, each time. As you change and your face changes, your service may look a bit different each time to ensure that you continue looking like the best version of yourself.
