Step Up the Results of Your Favorite Treatments by Switching to Laser Skincare Treatments

If you’re looking to take the results of some of your favorite skincare treatments to the next level, it might be time for you to graduate to laser skincare treatments! In this article, we’ll cover some of our popular treatments and the reasons you might consider giving laser treatments in St. Pete at Coco Med Spa a try.

What skincare concerns might be compatible with laser treatment?

You might be a good fit for laser skincare treatments for the face if you experience skincare concerns like hyperpigmentation, fine lines, acne, or texture. While these common skin symptoms can be treated with other services, your age, skin concerns, treatment history, and other factors may determine that it’s time to give laser treatment a shot.

When should someone consider switching to laser treatment?

Those who tend to book for services like microneedling and chemical peels may find that laser is a great next step in their treatment plan. If your symptoms aren’t improving as they should after a series of microneedling sessions or chemical peels, and you’re practicing proper skincare in between sessions, lasers are likely to provide more of the results you’re looking for.

How do you decide when to switch to laser treatment?

There are a few factors that we consider to help determine whether or not it’s time to make the jump to laser here at our spa in St. Pete. First, your age is an important consideration. For younger clients in their 20’s and early 30’s, most are still in the preventative stage. It’s less common that there is enough damage to warrant laser use in this age group although all consultations are done on an individual basis. For this group, it’s best to stick with regular microneedling and peels as needed plus high-quality skincare, and regular sunscreen use.

Getting into the later 30’s and 40’s you may become a candidate for a laser service like Moxi due to its “prejuvenation benefits.” Around this age, we begin to look at cell turnover and collagen production. When collagen production begins to slow laser treatments, like BBL HEROic, become a more prominent option.

What if I stick to my current treatments?

There is certainly tremendous value in getting treatments like microneedling and chemical peels. Sometimes the difference in these treatments vs laser is just a matter of timeline. Results over a 1-2 year treatment plan of these services may yield similar results to 1-3 months of laser. If you’re not in a rush and you’re seeing consistent results, you can most certainly end up with rejuvenated skin that you love sticking with the services you know. Individuals with active acne are also not usually candidates for laser services. However, chemical peels may be able to be used to get skin to a place where it is ready for laser treatment.

Ultimately, the decision is between you and the professionals here at Coco Med Spa. We’ll take factors like age, symptoms, budget, and maintenance preferences into account when choosing the right treatment for you. Often times, the treatment that you’ll stick with is the best option so we work to create a treatment plan that you’ll love. Ready to see about giving lasers a try with us in St. Pete?
